Smile On Seniors is an offshoot of Beth Chabad CSL.

Since the establishment of Smile On Seniors in 2019, a new day has dawned for the golden age Jewish population in CSL and environs. Over the past few years, SOS, a volunteer fueled organization dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors in our midst, has experienced remarkable growth, and its varied contributions have been widely recognized.

Smile On Seniors (SOS) is a unique program, designed to enhance the lives and cater to the specific needs of local seniors. Through the SOS programming, Seniors fill their days and lives with positive and creative opportunities which allow them to continue to enjoy a vibrant life filled with a sense of belonging to a community.

SOS began with home visitations & weekly programs. The weekly programs consisted of either an educational lecture or a hands-on activity like baking, art, food decorating, painting etc. Seniors received pre-Holiday packages and connected to volunteers.

Smile On Seniors believes that people of all ages should enjoy happiness and dignity. SOS is constantly growing and evolving to meet new demands as they arise. 

Interviews of various inspirational leaders from around the world, pre-holiday workshops and Holiday programming, interactive Torah classes, discussions, movies, game days and activities.

The Wednesday Hot Nutritious dinners is a highlight for most seniors. Receiving a home cooked meal and a visit from a personable volunteer is what many look forward to. 

The wonderful team of volunteers at SOS happily do grocery shopping, run errands, make home deliveries and provide seniors with technical support.
